# Who Are You?

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/0qYtj3bMUOc0WL5csa1N" alt="Group of team members stacking their hands while standing in a circle"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

You are a key member of your blind or low vision student's educational team! &#x20;

But if you are new to teaching a student who is blind or has low vision, you may have had some of these thoughts:

> "I've never taught a blind student before."
>
> "I've never even met a person with a visual impairment."
>
> "I'm not a special education teacher."
>
> "I'm not a technology expert."

It's OK! &#x20;

Try these thoughts on for size:

> "I am a great teacher."
>
> "I want all of my students to learn and succeed."
>
> "I can make a difference."
>
> "I am not alone."
>
> "I am enough."
>
> "I can do this."

Yes, you ***can*** do this. Let's get started!
